FREE = Community Calendar/Public Service Announcement live reads: email to calendar@krza.org.
·        Event notices read by volunteer DJs during music shows.
·        Information is revised into on-air friendly scripts of 20-30 words.
·        The sooner we receive event information, the more often it will be read on-air. Two weeks is best.


ALL spots are 30-second, and must meet FCC standards for underwriting language: no prices, no calls to action, no comparative language

Standard Underwriting
• Length should be 13 weeks, or can run indefinitely.
• You choose the program, we acknowledge your support.
• Script changes can be made as needed, but require 2-3 days to implement.

*Small Business Package (25 employees or less) 
-Music Show Package $300/ Three spots a week for one year during music shows.
-NPR Show Package $900/ Two spots a week for one year during NPR shows. 

Day Sponsorships
$60/ Eight announcements. One announcement during Morning Edition, one during All Things Considered, and the remaining six announcements are scheduled throughout the day. On weekends it will air three times during Weekend Edition, one during Thistle and Shamrock/Native Voice One, and the remaining four announcements are scheduled throughout the day. 

Day Sponsorships are limited to 30 seconds and must be in compliance with KRZA and FCC Guidelines.

Event of the Week
$220/ Eight announcements a day for five days. One announcement during Morning Edition, one during All Things Considered, and the remaining six announcements are scheduled throughout the day for 5 days. On weekends it will air three times during Weekend Edition, one during Thistle and Shamrock/Native Voice One, and the remaining four announcements are scheduled throughout the day. 

Events of the Week are limited to 30 seconds and must be in compliance with KRZA and FCC Guidelines.

FCC Guidelines
Underwriting announcements are not commercials. Adhering to the following guidelines ensures that your announcement is both legal and well-received by the listeners of our station.

KRZA’s underwriting guidelines follow regulations from the FCC and National Public Radio, as well as our mission as a community radio station serving the Upper Rio Grande region.

All Underwriting must be 30 seconds or less to fit in the program schedule. 

Underwriting announcements MAY include:

Name of business, organization or individual, mentioned at beginning and end of announcement.

Historical information, location, phone number or web address.
Basic, value-neutral description of products or services.
Non-promotional slogan.

MAY NOT include:
Comparative or qualitative language (“the best”, "awesome", "incredible" etc).
Calls-to-action (“Call, “Stop by,” “We can be reached at…”, “If you’'re looking for..”, etc).
Inducements to buy, sell, rent or lease. KRZA cannot legally promote selling, renting, or leasing services, property, or products.  
Repetition of information (Saying the website, phone number, or slogan twice)
Promotional slogans. 
Brand names of products other than your own, names of other businesses or corporations.
